Neil Urquhart has been a teacher, trainer and facilitator in international settings for the past 12 years with extensive experience in Western Europe, Japan and Brazil. Now based in Birmingham in the UK, he is part of the programme team for the EU institutions which provides cross-cultural team-building and induction seminars for all newly-recruited civil servants, facilitating large mixed nationality groups in Brussels, Strasbourg and Luxemburg.

For the past five years, he has worked mainly on honing his corporate clients' communication skills, planning, delivering and assessing client-specific seminars on international presentations, intercultural negotiations and communicating within teams. In addition, he has researched learning behaviour in corporate clients, coached executives and supplied communications consulting to entrepreneurs seeking venture capital.

He holds a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in adult training and a wide range of clients have included SAP University and Labs, John Deere T ractors, Cargill, BGT (a subsidiary of the EADS conglomerate), SBI Ruhr (a subsidiary of Siemens, formerly known as RAG Informatik), MiRO oil refinery and the State University of Santa Cruz.
